Assistant Conductor Cameron McConchie will ‘take the reins’ for “Cantorum At Christmas”. This will be Cameron’s first full Christmas concert with the choir and he has chosen a wonderful collection of seasonal Music, from Tallis and Byrd in the 15th and 16th Centuries to Douglas Mews and Mack Wilberg in the 20th and 21st with much in between! In addition to the music Cameron has chosen he won this year’s Cantorum Commission Prize and will be conducting the world premiere of his own piece “The Coming Of Christ”. Everyone is in for a real treat and the choir are working hard to ensure that we do it justice for Cameron. Once again we will be delighted to have Michael Bell at the organ and Cameron’s music was not only written for the choir but with the confidence that Michael would enjoy the challenge of a fantastic organ accompaniment.
